George Donaldson, lead singer of Irish singing group Celtic Thunder died of a heart attack in Glasgow on Wednesday, March 12. He was 46.A notice on the death of Donaldson, referring to him as a "gentle giant," was posted on the group's website.
"Everyone is in deep shock, reeling from this sudden and tragic loss," it reads.
A memorial webpage with quotes from the group, as well as a link to contribute to an education fund for Donaldson's young daughter, is also now online.
The group is planning on continuing their current tour in Donaldson's honor.
