If you're cleaning out the closet, the City Rescue Mission would like you to consider making a donation.

If you are using time at home to do some spring cleaning, Jacksonville’s City Rescue Mission is offering to cart off your discarded treasures.

City Rescue Mission donations help the hungry, homeless and addicted in Northeast Florida.

Although the Rescue Mission isn’t taking items at its Normandy Boulevard store, it’ll be doing home pickups starting this coming Monday, April 27, through Friday, May 29.

Clothing, small appliances and other household items can be picked up from your doorstep.

Anyone who wishes to donate for pickup if asked to bag their donations and leave them on their front porch or steps by 9:30 a.m. on the morning of the pickup.

To get on the City Rescue Mission’s pickup schedule, call 904-421-5180 or email pstasi@crmjax.org. Be sure to include your name, address, ZIP code and phone number.

The pickups are scheduled as follows:

Credit City Rescue Mission

The City Rescue Mission is currently unable to take furniture, large items or do special pickups.

A temporary drop-off location has also been set up through Memorial Day at the City Rescue Mission’s administrative building at 425 S. McDuff Ave. between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
