While Duval County public schools remain closed for winter break, several private schools and the Alachua County schools announced that were expected to reopen Wednesday and announce they will remain closed.
The closures include:
- All Catholic schools in the St. Augustine Diocese
- The Bolles School (all campuses)
- San Jose Episcopal Day School
- The Broach Schools of Jacksonville
- Riverside Presbyterian Day School
- Beaches Episcopal School
- Alachua County Public Schools
- Eagles View Academy
- Dunns Creek Baptist Daycare in Oceanway
All the above schools are expected to reopen Thursday other than Alachua, which will reopen Friday.
Florida State College at Jacksonville has also announced all of its campuses will be closed Wednesday due to the potential of extreme weather.
Due to the potential for extreme weather conditions, all FSCJ campuses will be closed tomorrow, January 3.
