Gate Foundation To Raise Funds For Jacksonville Ronald McDonald House Charities

Ronald McDonald House Charities

The Gate Foundation is teaming up with Ronald McDonald House Charities for a fundraising campaign. The in-store campaign features the sale of Ronald McDonald paper houses that feature their logo.

The paper houses cost $1 and are available for the first three weeks of April at all local Gate stores. The campaign will also be in other communities that Gate serves and benefit those Ronald McDonald Houses.

Jacksonville RMHC spokesperson Annie Tutt said the money raised will be used to fund the house as well as the family room at Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital and St. Vincent’s Outreach ministry.

"These dollars will help support us being able to have the house available for them," she said. "Have amenities lie our van and our playroom  and really have that home away from home that they need while they are in our community."

Ronald McDonald House Charities serves families of children who come to Jacksonville for hospitalization so they don’t have to stay in a hotel.

Tutt said the Gate Foundation has raised funds for the Ronald McDonald previously but this is the first time it chose to sell paper replicas of the house.
