FSCJ Helps Students
Florida State College at Jacksonville and Bank of America have announced a new $1 million jobs initiative for local students of color. The initiative will help assist these students in entering the workforce with the training needed to succeed, and is meant to aid those affected by the pandemic. John Avendano, PhD and president at FSCJ, and Greg Smith, Jacksonville market president at Bank of America joined us with details.
Inspirational Father
Local Jacksonville dad Donte Palmer became a viral sensation, all thanks to changing his son's diaper. It started in a local men's room where he didn’t have access to a changing table so he squatted over and used his knees to change the baby, documenting the experience. Since then, he has become a role model for parents and he has a new book out. He joined us to discuss it further.
