JTA Will Increase Morning Bus Service On Some Routes Monday

JTA
Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center at LaVilla.

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is increasing the frequency on some of its bus routes during morning peak hours starting June 22 as more people head back to their workplaces.

Since March 16, the JTA had cut back routes due to the pandemic.

Based on feedback, JTA is adding additional frequency on the following routes during morning peak hours:

  • 1 (North Main)
  • 3 (Moncrief) – additional PM trips included
  • 10 (Atlantic)
  • 19 (Arlington) – additional AM and PM trips included
  • 50 (University)
  • First Coast Flyer Red Line (109)

Updated schedules can be found through schedules.jtafla.com.

JTA plans to add more buses back to the mix as needed throughout the day as demand for ridership begins growing.

Some seats will remain blocked off to promote social distancing.  All JTA employees are required to wear face coverings while driving, at a JTA facility or construction site.

While not required, JTA is strongly encouraging its passengers to wear at least a cloth covering while on board.

Social distancing, enhanced cleaning activities and other measures remain in place at the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center at LaVilla and all JTA transportation hubs.

Riders with questions or feedback can call JTA’s Customer Service at (904) 630-3100, Monday  – Friday, 5:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., or email customer-svc@jtafla.com.
