Stand Your Ground is back in the headlines as a judge did not rule on whether Marissa Alexander will be granted another Stand Your Ground hearing during a pre-trial hearing Friday morning.Attorneys for Alexander argue that their client deserves another Stand Your Ground hearing to prove that she fired a shot at her estranged husband in self defense.
Alexander is free on bond while awaiting a new trial. She was initially sentenced to 20 years after the altercation but that conviction was thrown out on appeal.
