It's not every day that Consumer Reports can say they just tested a product and it is the "Best Ever". They did just that in their latest issue, and here's the kicker: it's a car! An Electric Car! The Tesla Model S.
"If it could recharge in any gas station in three minutes, this car would score about 110," said Jake Fisher, head of auto testing for Consumer Reports.
Fisher called the car's performance in the magazine's tests "off the charts." The sum total of that effort has earned the Model S the highest ever score in their ratings: 99 out of ?100. This is far ahead such competitors as the gas-powered Porsche Panamera (which scored 84) and the Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid (which scored 57).
I saw a Tesla last week at the Humphrey Bogart Film Festival in Key Largo, and it was breathtaking. Did I mention that I want one?
