24 Hours Of Climate Reality; dental industry decline; Florida-Georgia weekend; Kurtis Loftus

Activists worldwide organize tomorrow for a day of global climate action. During 24 Hours of Climate Reality, activists and scientists will demand policy changes required to cut fossil fuel emissions and transition to a clean-energy economy.

The event follows this week’s congressional investigation in which Democrats ask oil companies to clarify misinformation about the effects of fossil fuels.

Local surfer Kurtis Loftus beat his own record for the longest time surfing in the ocean at 31 hours. The marathon surfer raised funds for Jacksonville Beach’s annual holiday fundraiser, Deck the Chairs.
