Claire Heddles

Councilmember LeAnna Cumber has kicked off her campaign to become Jacksonville’s next mayor.

She’s the latest Republican to enter this wide-open race. Due to term limits, current Mayor Lenny Curry leaves office next year.

Cumber represents San Marco and parts of the Southside on the council. She’s an attorney and a transportation consultant who has campaigned on fighting the rise in the local gas tax, human trafficking and special interests she says have controlled the city for too long.

Guest: LeAnna Cumber, District 5 Jacksonville City Council member and mayoral candidate.
