Starbucks workers unionizing; Downtown fairgrounds; heroes in Jacksonville; Be My Neighbor Day

Dozens of Starbucks employees in the country are voting on joining a union, including two stores here in Jacksonville. Ballots for the stores at 1980 San Marco Blvd. and 11441 San Jose Blvd. were sent out last month. The vote count will take place Tuesday.

Downtown fairgrounds

The downtown fairgrounds is moving to the west side of Jacksonville as more changes are also coming to the downtown sports complex.

Heroes in Jacksonville 

The Interfaith Center of Northeast Florida is hosting their 12th Awards Dinner next Monday. Awards will go to local unsung heroes for the work they do in the community, with faith leaders and panelists showcasing the diverse faiths in Jacksonville.
