Downtown Jacksonville is in constant development. From a Navy ship docked downtown to an art exhibit taking over an old Baptist church building, Jacksonville is hard at work to make the urban core an attractive area for residents.

Guests:

“Saving Freud”

While visiting Israel last month, President Biden made a special stop at Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center. In the guest book he wrote, “Hate is never defeated. It only hides.” This concept was one that the father of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, could not understand. Freud barely escaped with his life as the Nazis invaded Austria in 1938. All of this and more is compiled into an exciting new book, "Saving Freud."

Guest: Andrew Nagorski, Florida author and author of "Saving Freud."

Camden Spaceport

A new lawsuit has been filed in Georgia demanding the release of documents pertaining to the proposed Camden Spaceport. The complaint argues that Camden County has spent millions of dollars on a spaceport against taxpayer wishes, all the while keeping residents in the dark about the plans.

Guest: April Lipscomb, attorney with the Southern Environmental Law Center.

The Move

Cre8Jax publishes a biweekly list of the best events and places to check out around town. Catalina Selvagn gives us a breakdown of the best things to see and do in Jax.
