Celebrating Frederick Law Olmsted

A special event at the Cummer Museum hosted by the Memorial Park Association is part of a nationwide celebration of the birth of American landscape architect and social reformer Frederick Law Olmsted. Historian and filmmaker Laurence Cotton, who will speak at the Cummer Museum, joined us with a preview.

Storm scams

It’s an unfortunate fact of life here in Florida. After the storm is gone, the scammers descend. There are many different types of scams out there that people coping with the impact of Ian need to be vigilant for as they navigate its aftermath. Shari George, Jax Federal Credit Union branch manager, joined us with some tips to avoid these scams.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were coming off a two-game winning streak and had a chance to make a statement against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. But they couldn’t seize the opportunity and ended up losing 29-21. WJCT News’ Sports Analyst Josh Torres joined us with an update.
