In its most recent report, released earlier this week, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says the world’s use of fossil fuels will push the planet to dangerous levels of warming by the beginning of the next decade.
The report does say there’s still time to limit warming, but only by substantially reducing the overall use of fossil fuels.

National Agriculture Week
Spring has officially sprung and it’s National Agriculture Week, so we asked “The Man in Overalls” for some tips on how to grow your groceries this season and how to avoid pesky pets in the process.

Late Bloomers Garden Club flower show
The earliest recorded flower shows appeared in the 1830s. From the Victorian era to today, flower shows remain popular.
The Late Bloomers Garden Club will present its own free public flower show, “On a Clear Day You Can See Forever,” at the Garden Club of Jacksonville from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.
Floral designers from Florida, Georgia and other Southeastern states will be there to exhibit their own creations, reflecting current trends in artistic design.
