Ira Flatow of 'Science Friday'

From cutting-edge technology to fascinating wildlife, he’s been making science fun and accessible for more than three decades. You will, of course, recognize the name and voice of Ira Flatow, host of the two-hour program Science Friday, which has been broadcast on public radio since 1991.

Ira will appear tonight at WJCT Studios. Unfortunately, tickets for the event are no longer available.

Fort Mose

Last week, a groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction of Fort Mose finally took place. Fort Mose, the first legally sanctioned Black community in North America, served as a refuge for enslaved people fleeing the South, mainly from the Carolinas.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, widely recognized as MOCA Jax, is commemorating its 100th anniversary this year. To mark this milestone, the museum is not only showcasing some lesser known aspects of its history but also unveiling new exhibitions.
