Help for cold case survivors

An upcoming event at the University of North Florida will focus on families coping with unsolved homicides. The third annual Cold Case Symposium — promising support, shared stories and resources — will be Oct. 23-24 at the Adam Herbert University Center.

  • Ryan Backmann, founder and CEO of Project: Cold Case.

Then, Clay County’s election supervisor chastises residents for lackluster voter participation after an abysmal 18% turnout. We ask him what he hopes to achieve with his message and how he’s preparing for the November presidential election.

And, Blue Fire Theatre in Nassau County holds a staged reading of Love, Loss and What I Wore, by Nora and Delia Ephron. The event is being held in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and benefits two county nonprofits, Micah’s Place and Pinky Promise.
