On Thursday’s show: 'Honest Reflections' on breast cancer

One has a terminal diagnosis, the other an aggressive and treatment-resistant form known as “triple negative” breast cancer. Together, the two community leaders announce the launch of an intimate and powerful podcast, Honest Reflections. Former mayoral candidate and current Judge Audrey Moran and Florida Nonprofit Alliance President and CEO Sabeen Perwaiz detail the stark realities of treatment, offer intimate meditations on mortality and offer a laundry list of practical tips for anyone who knows or loves someone with cancer.

Then, 66 artists were chosen for the Jax Contemporary Triennial Juried Exhibition. We talk to the curators of the new exhibit at MOCA Jax about the styles, stories and signature characteristics of First Coast artists.

Guests:

  • Adeze Wilford, Blackmon Perry Curator of African American Art and Art of the African Diaspora at Memphis Brooks Museum of Art.
  • Ylva Rouse, senior curator at MOCA.
