Just a little over a week before the May 2 end of the Florida legislative session, we look at what bills are moving, which are stalled and what last minute changes might yet emerge. Among the measures still being considered is a bill that would require STD testing of teenagers be disclosed to their parents, and one that would restrict how neighborhoods can improve themselves. We also discuss what the burgeoning Hope Florida scandal tells us about shifting political dynamics and emerging power struggles.

Guest:

  • Chris Hand, local attorney and government expert.

Then, a recent fire won’t stop the upcoming performance of Players by the Sea. We talk to the cast of the musical Waitress and ask theater leadership about taking the show on the road.

Guests:

  • Bradley Akers, managing director at Players by the Sea.
  • Raquel Clory, actor playing Jenna.
  • Shauna Akers, actor playing Dawn.
  • Rashawnda Campbell, actor playing Becky.
