The First Coast food scene is about to be taken a lot more seriously, as the Michelin guide expands its coverage area to include Northeast Florida next year. Though there’s no guarantee that a local restaurant will earn one of the guide’s coveted stars, locals believe there are several worthy contenders. We ask three experts how including the region will affect the local food scene for restaurant owners, chefs and customers.

And, an event aimed at elevating girls and women in the sport of surfing crashes into Jacksonville Beach this weekend.
