Jaguars Reveal New Uniforms

The Jaguars unveiled their new uniforms on Tuesday, and there's an emphasis on Jacksonville's military history.

The head to toe black uniform features teal and gold accents. It also includes the team's military inspired patch over the heart.

The new helmet features a unique fade from gold to matte black finish on the front and includes the new logo.

Nike's Vice-President Todd Van Horne says the uniform is a high-tech design that provides ventilation, reduces weight and increases mobility.

"These uniforms balance our tradition with the future" said Jaguars owner Shahid Khan. "These uniforms leave no doubt about our brand essence of being proud, bold and committed.

The Jaguars schedule was released last week. The regular season opens Sunday, September 8th, at Everbank Field against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Jaguars are also holding a draft party the Thursday evening at Everbank Field, where fans can meet with players and staff beginning at 6:00PM.

Kevin Meerschaert has left WJCT for new pursuits. He was the producer of First Coast Connect until October of 2018.
