The Federal Emergency Management Agency will keep its Hurricane Irma disaster recovery center at Florida State College at Jacksonville open a few more days.
The temporary assistance site was supposed to close Saturday but FEMA officials said so many people showed up for help last week that they decided to stay on.
Anyone who wants to sign-up or whose application was lost or rejected is encouraged to come in for some one-on-one guidance.
The deadline to apply is this Friday, November 24th.
The FEMA center at FSCJ is in the Main Auditorium on the Kent Campus at 3939 Roosevelt Boulevard.
It’s open until noon Wednesday.
Representatives from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will be on First Coast Connect Tuesday morning at 9 on 89.9 WJCT-FM. Listeners are invited to call-in with comments and questions during the broadcast at 904-549-2937.
