Florida State University will offer doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to students and employees who are 65 and older. The college says vaccine distribution could start as early as next week.

In an attempt to prevent COVID-19 from spreading, FSU will be vaccinating eligible students, faculty, and staff. Those who meet the criteria will get instructions from the college next week. In an email, the college says vaccination is not mandatory. Retirees, alumni, as well as students, and employees living outside the Tallahassee or Big Bend region cannot get a vaccine from FSU at this time.
