Florida's Children First, a nonprofit organization that works to raise awareness about issues related to the rights of at-risk children, especially those in foster care. FCF is holding a special event tonight to honor champions for children's rights. Executive Director Christine Spudeas joins us in studio with more. 

Norman Silent Film Studios is already listed on the National Register of Historic Places, but now it has a chance to become a National Landmark. The nomination will be presented next week in Washington. Norman Studios Spokeswoman Rita Reagan is here to explain how this all came about, and how the public can help. 

Girl Scouts teach girls not only leadership, but problem solving, team building and self-confidence. Girl Scout cookie season is about to get underway, but the program is about so much more than that. Mary Anne Jacobs, CEO of Girl Scouts of Gateway Council joins the show to preview the upcoming Girl Scouts Cookie season, and to discuss the impact that scouting has on girls who participate in the program.

A unique literary event is happening this weekend in Riverside. Jax by Jax, the brainchild of local author and FSCJ professor Dr. Tim Gilmore, is happening at 12 venues on Park and King Streets Saturday, Nov. 14 from 3 to 7 p.m. Listen to 24 Jacksonville-based writers reading from their works.
