After an historic primary election night, host Melissa Ross was joined by University of North Florida professor Mike Binder, Florida Politics reporter A.G. Gancarski and the Times-Union’s David Bauerlein to discuss the results. Also, Jacksonville City Council member and Finance Committee Chair Anna Brosche spoke about the city’s budget.
In the second half of the show, ahead of a tropical system heading toward the area, we heard from Servpro President Bryce Clark and we also spoke about our obsession with food with Jeffrey Spear of Studio Spear, an agency specializing in food-related industries.
Primary election reax
Congresswoman Corrine Brown, State Attorney Angela Corey and Public Defender Matt Shirk all lost their reelection bids on Tuesday. The panel talked about some of the reasons for their losses and what to look for locally in the November general election.

With the First Coast facing a potential hit by a tropical system this week, Ross spoke with Bryce Clark with Servpro, a Jacksonville-based disaster recovery and restoration business. He spoke about the dangers of flooded homes and ways to prevent extensive damage.

Talking about food has become an obsession for many adults in the U.S. With the popularity of cooking shows, many people spend more time watching others cook than doing it themselves.
Ross spoke with Jeffrey Spear about the phenomenon and why people have become so obsessed with quality food preparation.
