Fast-Growing Jacksonville Healthcare IT Co. Buys Houston Consulting Firm

One of the fastest-growing companies in Jacksonville has acquired a Texas-based training consulting firm.

Healthcare IT company the HCI Group bought Expert Technical Advisors, a Houston company it has worked with on several projects. The terms of the deal, a mixture of cash and equity, were not disclosed.

The acquisition ads dozens of employees and millions of dollars in revenue to HCI. The founders of Expert Technical Advisors will also join HCI as vice presidents.

HCI does health care IT consulting around the world. This acquisition will allow it to offer a total package of training, activation and advisory services.

HCI has been growing rapidly since it was founded in 2009. It is looking at bringing in $100 million in revenue this year.
