Jacksonville visual and performing-arts organizations are invited to apply for grants to increase access to underserved audiences.
The PNC Foundation Arts Alive program will award over $500,000 to nonprofits in Duval, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Applications are due July 15.
To qualify, an organization must be a nonprofit not affiliated with a school or university. The application asks them to pitch an “innovative” project that increases access to the arts among people of color or poor people in the three counties.
It also asks for specific dates and locations the project will take place within a year of receiving the award, which could be $10,000 or more.
Applicants will be notified of their status in August, and winners will be announced at a press conference in October.
