Hemming Park will the the site of Saturday's Hispanic Heritage Celebration.

Hemming Park in downtown Jacksonville is the site of the city’s first Hispanic Heritage Celebration this weekend.

Organizers say it will be a pet-and-family-friendly event with lots of Latin music and plenty of Hispanic food and drink, from tacos to Hispanic craft beer.

The celebration is planned for Saturday from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., rain or shine.

Folks heading to Hemming Park can take a complimentary Skyway ride downtown.

JTA said the monorail-system will run from 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. to give people plenty of time to get to and from the festival.
