Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp fans now have a new way to express their crustacean crush at cash registers.
The Jumbo Shrimp and their presenting sponsor, Community First Credit Union, on Friday unveiled a co-branded Jumbo Shrimp VISA Debit Card with merchant discounts at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
The card is being launched as the team also announced individual game tickets for the season beginning April 11 through Sept. 3 will go on sale Tuesday, March 13. The team also announced it promotional schedule for the year, including a record 21 fireworks shows at home games.
The team said the new debit card is available to anyone who is a member of the credit union. Anyone who lives or works in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam or St. Johns counties is eligible to become a member of Community First.
At the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, fans who use the Jumbo Shrimp VISA Debit Card will receive a 10 percent discount on merchandise purchases, a free small fountain drink with any purchase and $2 off tickets purchased on game day at the box office. Fan discounts will also be available through the Jumbo Shrimp’s merchant program.
