Open Auditions This Weekend For Local 'Mee Mee TV'

Mee Mee TV

It’s a new opportunity for local talent to show off their skills on a brand new television platform for the First Coast. "MeeMeeTV" is the brainchild of Kathryn McAvoy, CEO of the city's Performers Academy.

"There's a lot of talent here on the First Coast, and we plan to showcase it on television," she said.

Mee Mee TV Jax will air on local digital channel 18.1 and feature all things Duval—from local performers, to bands, to film shorts and more.

McAvoy has built a studio behind the Performers Academy, which offers classes for budding actors, singers, dancers and filmmakers.

"Now the television piece will bring it all together," she said. "We're going to showcase some amazing talent."

Open auditions to appear on Mee Mee TV are set for this Saturday, March 8th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Performers Academy at 3674 Beach Blvd.

"The audition is television," said McAvoy. "Just like on American Idol, if you show up to audition, it will be on TV!"
