A Jacksonville cosmetologist is heading to Atlanta this weekend to take on three of the top hair stylists in the country in the Bronner Brothers Celebrity Hair Battle.
Cynthia Meadows owns ABliss Studio on Jacksonville’s Southside. She says she’s not just a hair stylist, she’s a hair therapist.
“I’m so passionate about seeing my clients smile,” Meadows said. “I may not be able to change their situation but for them to come in here feeling down and broken and just going through a divorce and for me to make them feel beautiful and uplift them, that means everything to me.”
Which might explain why Meadows plans on pulling out all the stops.
“I’m bringing 17 people to Atlanta. We’re doing a lot of acting in it, a lot of dancing in it,” Meadows said. “So we’re not just walking out like in a fashion show and modeling the hairstyles.”
The Bronner Brothers Celebrity Hair Battle is Sunday at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. It will be broadcast later on the Centric subchannel of the national BET network.
Bronner Brothers, The Marietta, Georgia-based company has been making hair and skin products for people of color for nearly 60 years.
