Masquerade Party To Benefit LGBTQ Youth Advocates

JASMYN

The Jacksonville Area Sexual Minority Youth Network, or JASMYN, is a non-profit youth services organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth ages 13-23.

Their mission is to provide support for youth who are often bullied or even disowned by family members for their sexual orientation.

JASMYN also supports parents, guardians, youth workers, and teachers by serving as a resource around issues affecting gay and transgender youth.

They provide diversity training and other educational programs to promote understanding and respect and advocate for social change in the greater Jacksonville community.

JASMYN's annual benefit, "Feel the Fascination," is set for Friday night, and all proceeds will support the group's mission. The event is a masquerade party and costumes are suggested.

Tickets are available at the event website, and get more info on the group at their homepage, JASYMN.org.
