Jax lawmakers call for tougher penalties for Uber, Lyft drivers: Jacksonville City Council members are exploring tougher penalties on startup livery services some say are operating in the city illegally, including penalties of up to $500 for each violation if Uber and Lyft continue using unregulated vehicles to pick up passengers. Fourth judge strikes down Florida same-sex marriage ban: A South Florida judge on Tuesday became the fourth in recent weeks to strike down the state's same-sex marriage ban in a case involving property in Palm Beach County left to a man by his deceased husband. (Reuters)
Steroid supplier pleads guilty to drug charges: Anthony P. Bosch of Key Biscayne, among seven people charged with conspiring to sell steroids to professional sports figures and high school athletes, was arrested in Miami Tuesday and agreed to plead guilty to federal drug charges. (NBC News)
