Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra

Classical music, classic comedy and some 'lovely' art are on display this weekend on the First Coast.Friday, February 7 — Tonight the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra pays tribute to Fabio Mechett's 14 years as music director and principal conductor. The honorary event will not only include a reception dinner but performances by the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra as well as guest pianist Arnaldo Cohen and violinist Elmar Oliveira of the JSA. Saturday, February 8 — Can't get enough? Head to the Times-Union Center at 8 p.m. to listen to the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Fabio Mechett perform Mozart's comic opera, The Marriage of Figaro. Ticket info at JaxSymphony.org
