Several local races are headed to a runoff election in May.

Thursday morning, we continued our conversations with the candidates for City Council At-Large with Councilman Tommy Hazouri, the Democratic Candidate for Group 3.

During the discussion with Hazouri, suspended City Councilwoman Katrina Brown also called in to show her support for his reelection. She also provided an update on her defense in her ongoing fraud case.

We spoke to Hazouri's opponent, Greg Rachal, on Tuesday’s program.

Katie Ride for Life

April is National Donate Life Month, and before the weather gets too hot out, there's an opportunity to walk, run or bike this Saturday at the Katie Ride for Life on Amelia Island.

This spring tradition is named in honor of Katie Caples, a young woman who died tragically but in so doing, saved lives with the gift of organ donation.

Dr. Martin Mai, who leads the transplant program at Mayo Clinic; and Amy Reese with Katie Ride, joined us with more information.

"La chanteuse" by Edgar Degas & Georges W. Thornley

It’s a rare look at the works of pioneering artist Edgar Degas - one of the leading lights of the 19th-century Impressionist art scene. Degas is best known for his enchanting paintings of ballet dancers on and off the stage. But little is widely known about the enigmatic artist’s life and personality.

You can learn more when Edgar Degas: The Private Impressionist, opens tomorrow at the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine. Megan Mosley, Development Coordinator & Interim Registrar for the Museum, joined us with a preview.
