Firefighters and COVID-19
Three Jacksonville firefighters recently tested positive for COVID 19, with others self-isolating.
Randy Wyse, President of the Jacksonville Association of Fire Fighters and Mark Treglio, Assistant to the General President for Strategic Campaigns, Communications at the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) and a former Jacksonville firefighter; joined us for a closer look at how firefighters are faring during the pandemic.
As the coronavirus crisis drags on, and people are continuing to stay at home, those in abusive situations literally have nowhere to turn right now. Sometimes they can’t even find the privacy to call a domestic violence hotline. Hubbard House in Jacksonville now has another option. People can now text them if they need help. We spoke with Hubbard House CEO Gail Patin. The Hubbard House can be reached by texting to (904) 210-3698 or through a hotline at (904) 354-3114.
