President Donald Trump paid no income taxes in 10 of the last 15 years due to losing much more money than he made, according to a New York Times investigation of tax information it obtained.
In 2017, after he became president, his tax bill was only $750 dollars, according to the Times. The Times reported the president used measures being questioned to reduce his tax bill, including a $72.9 million tax refund that is the subject of an audit by the IRS.
The co-founder of the The Lincoln Project, Mike Madrid, joined us with his thoughts on Trump’s tax situation and track record. Madrid is among the Republicans that want to see Trump defeated in the November election.
