COVID And The Holidays; Local Resident Gives Back; Small Businesses; One Small Step

The holiday season will be different this year, due to the pandemic.  

As cases begin to climb in the country, and especially in the state, families are struggling to rearrange their Thanksgiving gatherings.  Dr. Sunil Joshi,  President of the Duval County Medical Society  Foundation, joined us on the programs to with some tips to be safe this holiday season.

Miracle on the Hudson Survivor Gives Back

Casey Jones is a local banker who was on the historic flight that crash-landed into the Hudson River.  Now Jones is focusing on giving back, and this year he plans to throw an annual Thanksgiving turkey drive to deliver turkeys to The Salvation Army.  He joined us along with Major Keith Biggers of The Salvation Army to share the details.  

Small Businesses and Covid 

2020 has been a very difficult year for small businesses. With the coronavirus now spiking, how can they plan for the next 12 months?  121 Financial CEO David Marovich joined us to help answer that question.

One Small Step

Join WJCT Public Media for an evening of virtual conversation and listening. WJCT presents StoryCorps’ One Small Step conversations, a nationwide project with the goal of breaking down boundaries between strangers.  The trick is to have a conversation with someone in your community that you may not have talked to before or disagree with politically in a peaceful manner.  WJCT News’ Sky LeBron sat down with us for more.
