The Jaguars are dedicating part of the North Deck at EverBank Field to Jacksonville’s military heritage as part of the stadium's overall rebranding to TIAA Bank Field.
Jaguars and Grunt Style announced an expansion of their existing partnership and the creation of Camp Grunt Style at the team’s annual State of the Franchise Thursday.
The area in the North Deck will is getting a military-inspired rebranding.
“Jacksonville’s identity locally and to the world is being home to the Jaguars and to the men and women, past and present, who serve our country,” said Mark Lamping, president of the Jaguars. He added, “I can’t imagine a better partner to connect the Jaguars and the pride and respect we all have in our military than Grunt Style
Jacksonville has the second highest concentration of veterans under age 65 in NFL markets, according to the Jaguars.
“Camp Grunt Style builds on this recognition of Jacksonville's deep military heritage in a unique, engaging way that will thrill fans and take their game-day experience to a higher level." said Grunt Style Founder and CEO Daniel Alarik. "Our partnership between Grunt Style and the Jacksonville Jaguars is something that is built on common grounds of patriotism and support for our fellow servicemen and women,” he added
The first of its kind in professional sports, according to the Jaguars, Camp Grunt is designed to allow fans to salute and celebrate our active duty military, reservists and veterans.
After each 1p.m. game, fans can enjoy what's being billed as a Grunt Style fifth quarter. The post-game celebrations will have music and appearances by Jaxson De Ville and members of THE ROAR of the Jaguars.
Camp Grunt spectators will also have an opportunity to view the afternoon and evening NFL games on the video boards.
