Blue Angels Air Show At NAS Jax Canceled Due To COVID-19

The Blue Angels team, which is based in Pensacola, has canceled its April performances in Jacksonville.

Naval Air Station Jacksonville has announced its spring air show, which had been scheduled for April 10-11, has been cancelled “after careful consideration.”
Traditionally, the Blue Angels performances have rotated between the base and Jacksonville Beach.

“Department of Defense Health Protection Conditions, as well as guidelines imposed by the Centers for Disease Control and local civilian authorities, currently prevent execution of the air show,” the base wrote in an email to WJCT News.

Currently, the next Blue Angels show is scheduled for April 17-18 in Lakeland.  The Blue Angels posts their show schedule here, which the elite Navy flying team says is subject to change without notice.

“We look forward to welcoming the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Team, The Blue Angels, back to Jacksonville in the future,” the base said.

At the time of this story’s publication, the next local Blue Angels appearance was scheduled for Oct. 22-23, 2022 at NAS Jacksonville.
