Bestbet, which operates cardrooms and simulcast wagering in Jacksonville and Orange Park, announced Wednesday it is requiring all employees to be vaccinated to guard against the delta variant of coronavirus.

Bestbet told WJCT News in an email that “ALL employees” must be vaccinated by October 15.

“Receiving the vaccine is the safest and best way to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 virus and all the known variants,” the company said in a statement.

Tuesday, Baptist Health, which says it's the area’s largest private employer, announced it was requiring employee vaccinations, and last week the Mayo Clinic announced it was requiring employee vaccinations as well.
