If you’re looking to give folks a good scare when this year’s Halloween season arrives while making some cash at the same time, then these job openings just might be for you.
The 13th Floor Haunted House is hiring actors ready to unleash their inner ghoul for the 2021 season. In addition to performance positions, the haunted house in the Regency area is also seeking customer service and operations staff including cashiers, makeup artists, ticket scanners, parking lot attendants, greeters, line staff and security.
All applicants must be at least 18 years old to audition or interview. All interviews and auditions must be scheduled by appointment. Those interested in applying can fill out an application on the 13th Floor Haunted House website.
“Acting experience isn’t required to audition, just a love for all things Halloween,” said Logan Sharpe, general manager of 13th Floor Jacksonville, in an email to WJCT News. “We’ve got some really fun and frightening themes this year, so we’re looking for actors who can really bring these characters to life.”
Thirteenth Floor’s team leaders will contact finalists for in-person interviews or auditions. Those auditioning for acting positions are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and shoes and are not required to prepare a monologue.
The 13th Floor Haunted House at 9230 Arlington Expressway, near Regency Square Mall, is scheduled to be open on select nights between Sept. 11 and Nov. 6.
