The St. Johns River Ferry is running again after a damaged steering unit had knocked it out of service since Saturday.
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority said Tuesday that the damage has been fixed and the Coast Guard has given the ferry the okay to resume operations.
The Mayport ferry was scheduled to set sail again at 3 p.m. Tuesday. The ferry had been out of service since Saturday.
Trips back and forth across the St. Johns River will be free for the rest of Tuesday, according to JTA.
