The Duval delegation resolved to write the letter at their meeting in Jacksonville Wednesday after hearing from the public, including hospital executives and a hospital association president.

Jamie Bianchini’s decided to go for a ride around the world on a tandem bicycle by himself, inviting everyone he met to join him.

IRS Scam Artist Targets St. Augustine Resident

A self-admitted scam artist says he is part of a team that has targeted at least one resident in St. Augustine. John Mains from St. Augustine says he got a voicemail from someone claiming to be the IRS. When Mains called the number left behind, he says he was told he had one opportunity to pay or face punishment. When WJCT called the number, the man who answered admitted it was a scam.

Florida Falling Short Of Recycling Goal By More Than A Quarter

The Florida Legislature passed a law in 2008 establishing a statewide recycling goal of 75 percent to be reached by the year 2020. With only five years left to reach the goal, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, or FDEP, reports the state recycling rate is just 49 percent.
