JIA

Security personnel at Jacksonville International Airport are asking travelers to be on the lookout for suspicious activity in response to the deadly terrorist attacks on Brussels’ airport and its subway system, spokeswoman Debbie Jones said.

“If you see something, please say something to either a police officer or an airport employee,” she said.

Jones said JIA has also been in contact with the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.

An official decision to up the level of security at the airport would come from the federal Transportation Security Administration.

Security at Miami International Airport has also been increased.

Miami officials said there’s an increased number of uniformed police officers and canine units patrolling the airport terminal.
