Former First Coast News anchor Donna Deegan is a Jacksonville native, a public figure, and an activist.
She is also well-known as a breast cancer survivor and the founder of the globally recognized, 26.2 with Donna Marathon.
Now, Deegan is starting a brand-new chapter. She’s running for office, filing to challenge Representative John Rutherford for his local seat in Congress. She joined us with more about her campaign, and why she decided to enter the world of politics.

The National Geographic Photo Ark uses the power of photography to inspire people to help save species at risk before it’s too late. Some of these images are coming to the Jacksonville Zoo. Photo Ark founder Joel Sartore, who is appearing at UNF on November 17, joined us to discuss the project in more detail.
