The Dover Quartet

Last fall, the Dover Quartet won not only the grand prize, but all three special prizes at the Banff International String Quartet Competition.

That impressive performance catapulted them to international stardom — and needless to say, they’re a very hot ticket right now. They are playing in Jacksonville for free, and one member of the group is a Jacksonville native.

Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt, from Jacksonville, plays viola. The quartet also includes violinists Joel Link and Bryan Lee and Camden Shaw on cello. They joined Karen Feagins to preview their performance and perform live on-air.

The Dover Quartet will perform a free concert including works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra violinist (and First Coast Connect theme song composer) Piotr Szewczyk on Tuesday, June 10, at Riverside Park United Methodist Church. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
