COVID-19 In High Risk Communities; The Eddy Awards; Spring Break Travel Advice

The pandemic has affected everyone, but it has hit some communities harder than others.

The Agape Family Health Center, in partnership with the city of Jacksonville, is providing COVID-19 testing intended to target communities of higher risk. 

Testing will also include opportunities to share information on how individuals and families can lower their risk of infection, and improve overall health outcomes. Mia Jones, CEO of Agape Family Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), that provides medical home and primary care services to specific areas of town, joined us with more.

As the pandemic continues, education too continues, both online and in-person.  The EDDY Awards will be recognizing some of the heroes in this pandemic: teachers.

Well last week’s inauguration of a new president was a serious affair - except for one thing. Memes of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders have gone viral from the event.

People can’t seem to get enough of the memes they’ve inspired - which are now being commemorated on merchandise, too. Bobby Kelly, owner of Bobby K. Boutique in Springfield, joined us to discuss the phenomenon.
