The evictions triggered by the pandemic-induced recession have been linked to an increased risk of COVID-19 cases and mortality.
This in turn, has cities and think tanks working on ways to prevent more evictions, and help those who are already homeless. On Wednesday, the city of Jacksonville revealed The Pathway to Home Program to assist people dealing with homelessness.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is examining ways to help as well. Dr. Giridhar Mallya, Senior Policy Officer, of the Foundation, joined us with more.
Capitol Riot Defendants
The Capitol siege defendants from the deadly violence and insurrection on January 6 are now going through the criminal justice system, including some local defendants.
But some allege the mostly white rioters appear to be receiving different treatment in the process, than minority groups received in similar situtations.
