Florida Primary; Year Of The Nurse; First Coast Connect Book Club

Mar 10, 2020

Florida's presidential primary is just one week from today on March 17. But first, voters in six other states including Michigan will cast their votes tonight, March 10.

How could tonight’s outcomes impact us here in the Sunshine State? And what should voters know before they make their selection? Obi Umunna, a Jacksonville-based attorney and political consultant and Daniel Cronrath, Professor of Political Science at FSCJ joined us with more.

Year Of The Nurse

The World Health Organization, or WHO, has declared 2020 the “Year of the Nurse and Midwife.” It did so to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale. We were joined on the show by Mary Marcus, RN, Lillia M Loriz, Director, UNF School of Nursing and Diane Pagano, Dean of Nursing, St. Johns River State College.
