Democratic presidential candidates, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., left, and former Vice President Joe Biden, right, participate in a Democratic presidential primary debate at the Gaillard Center, Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, in Charleston, S.C., co-hosted by CBS

On Wednesday’s episode of First Coast Connect with Melissa Ross, we discussed Florida voter’s reactions to the Super Tuesday results.

The episode was recorded shortly before Mike Bloomberg announced he was suspending his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination and endorsing rival Joe Biden, who won most Super Tuesday contests.

Rick Mullaney, head of the Public Policy Institute at Jacksonville University and host of Policy Matters on WJCT, came on the show to discuss Biden’s big Super Tuesday win and what it means for Florida voters.

Young Adult Voters

A panel of young voters also joined us for a discussion about their thoughts on the upcoming Florida Primary.

Our guests were:

Colorectal Cancer

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. The disease claimed more than 50,000 lives last year. However, a simple screening can catch or even prevent the worst outcomes of the disease. Dr. Michael Wallace, a gastroenterologist at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, joined us to explain more.
